Why Give?
You really don’t have to give anything
to enjoy what I can offer you.
There are much more deserving people, and much more dire causes. I do not want to capitalize on my fans, or on the artists that make my show possible.
I’m happy to have an audience and a platform, and like many DJs/musicians/nerds; I do not get paid to do any of this. Also, money makes me feel weird. However, if you find yourself enjoying Uncle Stepmom, while feeling generous, that is pretty cool.
If I receive donations, they will be poured into furthering the show, this website, and expanding content. I want to be forthright with you about where and how money is being spent here.
But to really help underground music, go support your local punks, DIY scenes, and see what they are screaming and fundraising about. I have always found that is the easiest way to see what music communities really need.
If you are financially haphazard like myself, or just really want to see me do something with your money…
Here are my goals for any initial funds raised:
New microphone for the radio (new mic first and foremost)
Helping pay various accounts/service fees used for the show and the website (roughly $150/YEAR)
Building a reliable catalog of physical music (I’d like to afford to buy more albums and build a collection of music to avoid big companies using AI, sponsored music and algorithms, also I’d love to put $$ into the pockets of the musicians who make this possible).
Long Term goals:
Adding more to the website (places where people can interact with each other directly).
All around a better recording set up. (right now it’s real dodgy, I’d love to provide more professional/ higher quality shows. This would go to me creating a space to do interviews/streams (still at home))
